EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Corporate wellness continues to be a prevalent topic in companies across the globe. With constant changes in technology, research and the industry one way to stay up to date is to attend the Portland Business Journal's HR Summit & Healthiest Employers of Oregon event!
We'll start the morning with a Human Resources Summit where our four employee wellness experts will divulge information you won't want to miss! Interact with the presentations to learn what you can take back to your workplace to make positive change! These breakout sessions are optional, if you choose to only attend the luncheon please arrive at 11:00 a.m. The sessions are informative and included in your ticket price! Space is limited to 200 people, be sure to indicate whether or not you are attending when registering.
In addition, our wellness partners will host exhibitor booths where you can explore technologies, services and products being brought to market right here from home.
Following the insightful exhibits we will begin our Healthiest Employers program where we award companies who are demonstrating innovation and leadership in their wellness programs. Join us for the luncheon to learn more about what these companies are doing to keep their employees happy and healthy!
The results are based off of detailed surveys submitted over prior months followed by rigorous scoring exposing those on top! Join us for the event as we honor ten companies in small, medium, large and extra large employee categories who are supporting a healthy lifestyle for their employees!
We will also honor three prominent Human Resource leaders who are supporting their company's health and wellness goals. Be sure to attend to find out who our community's leaders are!

It is becoming more and more important for companies (and their employment counsel) to develop resources and activities designed to help de-escalate and minimize the negative ramifications of that stress on valuable HR personnel. This session will focus on useful tools and suggestions for achieving that goal.

I Work For: Healthy Choices
Aligning our words and actions can be challenging. We say we want people to make healthy choices, but then we forget to create organizational strategies to support this philosophy. At SAIF, we discuss our focus on Total Worker Health and what we can do to make sure our cafe menu matches that focus, that our meetings aren't filled with donuts and cookies, and that other services we offer our employees at work help them make healthier choices. We have stepped back to ensure were implementing a nice variety of low-cost to no-cost activities that empower employees to make healthy choices and improve their overall well-being.

Blue Zones Project
Oregon Healthiest State, with leadership funding from Cambia Health Foundation, has begun to improve health trends one community at a time, starting in Klamath Falls, and now in Grants Pass, The Dalles, and the Umpqua region that includes Roseburg. The model is using cross-sector partnerships and tools such as Blue Zones to address community specific health challenges and help Oregonians achieve greater well-being where they work and live. Schools, businesses, civic groups, local governments, and community members are coming together to create healthy choices and behaviors. The session will highlight key components of the model and work taking place in one of the communities.
