“The rules for work are changing. We’re being judged by a new yardstick; not just by how smart we are, or by our training and expertise, but also how well we handle ourselves and each other.”
~Daniel Goleman, Working with Emotional Intelligence
Challenging Times call for Strong Leaders. Strong Leaders have Executive Coaches.

Your interest in having a personal Executive Coach demonstrates you have Emotional Intelligence and you see the value in developing your full potential competence in this arena.

Your coach is an experienced, licensed professional who has consulted with private and public organizations across a multitude of business sectors for years. This business experience, coupled with the skills to coach Emotional Intelligence, translates into advice you can trust and feedback that is objective, honest, and direct. Decision makers are frequently not told what is bad, weak, or truthful and in our ever changing global environment, keeping the “status quo” won’t work. You will be encouraged to move outside your comfort zone toward success. Together you will set goals and formulate a plan to achieve your objectives. Then your coach will be with you every step of the way while you work your plan for real results.

Your coaching experience begins by meeting with your coach and starting a life-changing relationship. First, you will complete an in-depth assessment which provides you with a customized report targeting areas of growth potential that will form the basis for your coaching plan. We will work within the Emotional Intelligence Framework which is two fold: your personal competencies, which determine how you manage yourself, and your social competencies, which determine how you handle your relationships with others.

Personal Competence requires Self-Awareness (knowing one’s internal states, preferences, resources, and intuitions), Self-Regulation (managing one’s internal states, impulses, and resources), and Motivation (emotional tendencies that guide or facilitate reaching goals). Therefore, we will be assessing and working on up to twelve important facets: emotional awareness, accurate self-assessment, adaptability, self-confidence, self-control, trustworthiness, conscientiousness, innovation, achievement drive, commitment, initiative, and optimism.

Social Competence requires Empathy (awareness of others’ feelings, needs, and concerns) and Social Skills (adeptness at inducing desirable responses in others). There are 13 facets of this competence which offer potential skill development: understanding others, developing others, being service oriented, leveraging diversity, having political awareness, wielding persuasive influence, communicating convincingly, managing conflict, being a leader who inspires and guides, initiating and managing change, building relationship bonds, working with others in the collaborative/cooperative style, and creating group synergy within teams.

Using the EI Framework, you will identify and develop your strengths, recognize and learn to compensate for developmental needs, and gain strategies for career and personal development. All sessions with your coach are personal face-to-face meetings scheduled at your convenience. You also have unlimited email and phone access to your coach so you have more ways to address concerns and questions promptly. After the conclusion of your coaching, your contract includes a complimentary follow-up session. Your personal coach has an ongoing commitment to you and the achievement of your goals.
